The Allergy Chef has been teaching children a range of topics for more than 20 years. Her passion for sharing knowledge is obvious, and she creates an exciting atmosphere for the kids to learn in.

Children are encouraged to ask questions, and leave not only with delicious food but also with kitchen confidence and more free-from knowledge.

Space is limited, so don't delay in signing up.

What The Kids Will Learn

  • Food safety basics.
  • Kitchen and knife safety basics.
  • How to prep produce.
  • How to make easy chicken schnitzel (GF, Top 9 Free).
  • How to make pasta sauce from scratch.
  • Measuring ingredients using the metric system for precision.
  • Cooking using the stove top.
This course comes with two recipes and will require the use of your stovetop and oven.

    After registration is complete, you'll receive an email with your course materials shopping list. You will also receive an emailed reminder both one week and one day before the start of the course.

    Allergy Status

    This class uses ingredients that are gluten free, and US top 9 allergy free (wheat, milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut [including coconut], fish, shellfish, sesame).

    Corn Allergy: Everything in this course can be made truly corn free so long as safe raw materials are available and an alternative protein. If you have questions before enrolling, please reach out so we can help you know if this course is a good fit for your child.

    FAQ

    Does this come with the ingredients we'll need?

    Your registration fee covers class attendance only. After you check out you'll receive an email with the course materials (recipes, shopping list, equipment list). You'll need to make sure you have everything available beforehand.

    Is this class limited to ages 7+?

    No. You know your child best. If you feel your younger child will be able to participate, you're welcome to join. If it gets to be too much, you can finish up the class when you get the recording. Older children are always welcome as well. Just know the language and skills are geared toward the suggested age range.

    Can more than one child attend?

    Yes! You'll need to purchase extra materials if they each want to make their own batch. The price for this class is per household, not per child.

    We won't be able to pause and wait for children who still need a turn in your household. You'll most likely need to work with your kids to make sure they're both having a hands on experience.

    What if we can't make it?

    A recording of the event is provided on May 28. If you're unable to attend, you can watch and bake at home whilst following along with the video.

    Will this be dangerous?

    You know your child best. We'll be using kitchen tools to mix ingredients, tenderize, sear, boil, and more. For younger children, we strongly encourage adult supervision to make sure accidents don't happen.

    Refund Policy

    We understand that things come up and you need to take a rain-check. Refunds are provided up to 7 days before the start of the class (May 20, 2022). There is a $3 processing fee for refunds.
