This course comes with four recipes, two for cake and two for frosting. The cake will need to be made in advanced and completely frozen before the start of the course. If you're new to all of this, please enroll in the 7+ Baking Course in addition to this course so you're more comfortable.
The Allergy Chef will show students how to make both frostings during this course.
After registration is complete, you'll receive an email with your course materials, shopping list, and video file.
This class uses ingredients that are gluten free, vegan, and US top 9 allergy free (wheat, milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut [including coconut], fish, shellfish, sesame).
The chocolate cake recipe is rice and potato free.
Corn Free: The cake recipes are truly corn free (no derivatives). If your child has a corn allergy, please indicate this when checking out and we will send a separate recipe for corn free frosting.
Does this come with the ingredients we'll need?
You are purchasing the video replay of a previous cooking class. After you check out you'll receive an email with the course materials (recipes, shopping list, equipment list) and video file. You'll need to make sure you have everything available beforehand.
Is this class limited to ages 12+?
No. You know your child best. If you feel your younger child will be able to keep up, you're welcome to purchase. If it gets to be too much, you can pause and take a break. Older children are always welcome as well. Just know the language and skills are geared toward the suggested age range.
Will this be dangerous?
You know your child best. We'll be using kitchen tools to mix ingredients, and the oven will be used for baking. We'll also be making use of the freezer. You have the option of using a culinary torch for this class and that can be dangerous if not used properly. Adult supervision and guidance is strongly suggested for that portion of the class.
Sales on this replay course are final and refunds are not available. In some cases we are able to issue a store credit.
